Board president, supported the change,
saying he believes in the Bibles's account of
creation. According to Religion News Service,
prior to the vote, James urged the Board to
approve the measure and mockingly posed with
slumped shoulders to imitate textbook
illustrations showing humans' evolution from
ape-like ancestors."
Evolution Disclaimer legislation was successfully
passed in Alabama with help from from the Eagle Forum,
a Religious Right group headed by Phyllis
